Senior Java Developer (x2) – 12-Month Contract
Location: Liverpool Street, London (2 days per week onsite)
Duration: 12 Months
Rate: Up to £750 per day (Inside IR35)
We're looking for 2 x Senior Java Developers to join a high-performing engineering team on an initial 12-month contract. This is an excellent opportunity to work on the development of modern, cloud-native applications within a collaborative Agile environment. You'll play a key role in designing, building and delivering scalable, resilient software using modern Java technologies and AWS, while championing engineering best practices such as Test-Driven Development (TDD) and Behaviour-Driven Development (BDD).

- Design, develop and maintain high-quality Java applications.
- Build and enhance microservices using Spring Boot.
- Develop cloud-native solutions leveraging AWS services.
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code using TDD and BDD principles.
- Collaborate with Product Owners, Architects, QA and DevOps teams in an Agile delivery environment.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement across engineering practices.
- Support the delivery of scalable, secure and high-performing software solutions.
Essential Skills
- Strong commercial experience with Java.
- Extensive experience developing applications with Spring Boot.
- Proven experience working with AWS.
- Strong understanding and practical application of TDD and BDD.
- Experience building RESTful APIs and microservices.
- Excellent knowledge of software engineering best practices and Agile methodologies.
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
