Senior JavaScript Engineer - 3 Month Contract Initially
Synchro have partnered with a client in the fashion retail space and we're looking for a Senior JavaScript Engineer to join a major eCommerce re-platforming programme, helping to consolidate web and mobile applications onto a modern Node.js backend.
You'll play a key role in delivering high-performance, scalable features across a Vue.js / Nuxt, Node.js / Express stack while migrating legacy PHP functionality into a modern architecture.

You will be familiar with:
- Performance optimisation
- Cache management
Ideally, you will have experience of:
- AI-assisted development (Cursor)
You will be comfortable with:
- Agile delivery within a collaborative engineering team
Role Summary
- Role: Senior JavaScript Engineer (Contract)
- Contract length: 3 months initially
- Rate: £450 - £550 per day outside of IR35

- Strong commercial experience with JavaScript, Node.js and modern front-end frameworks
- Experience building scalable web applications using Vue/Nuxt
- Knowledge of caching strategies, performance optimisation, and modern hosting platforms
- Experience modernising legacy applications and APIs
- A passion for clean code, security best practice, and delivering high-quality software at pace
The organisation is based in London, and this role offers hybrid remote working and requires you to be onsite 2/3 days per week.
