Senior Keyholder/Bar Supervisor
The Senior Keyholder/Bar Supervisor position requires you to work operationally in our Arnolfini Café Bar in an elevated leadership role.
Reporting to our General Manager
Your focus is geared towards assisting in the operational running of the venue alongside the rest of the management team. You will play a crucial part in driving and inspiring the team on shift to hit the shift revenue target while consistently displaying exceptional customer service.
We have full-time and part-time hours available. Your hours and days of work will vary, including evenings and weekends, but we will endeavour to accommodate a working pattern that fits with your needs in line with those of the rest of the team.
The Job
The role is primarily supporting the General Manager, Assistant Managers, and Front of House team in opening and closing the venue, as well as running shifts in the absence of the line managers mentioned above.
Your role requires you to offer greater direction to the rest of the Arnolfini team, which in turn means your responsibilities are heightened. You are expected to lead the team and to run shifts on your own when line managers are absent.
We expect you to display confidence and excellent communication skills within the existing management team.
This is a great opportunity to develop your leadership skills and progress through the department.
Key Responsibilities
- Work closely with the Venues Management team and existing bar team to ensure a successful and smooth weekly service, in which revenue targets are achieved.
- Open and close the venue to the highest standard.
- In doing so, you will follow all Health & Safety procedures and Company Policies.
- Write End Of Night (EON) reports detailing key information on the shift, and send them to all relevant stakeholders.
- Ensure procedures and Standing Operating Procedures (SOPs) are followed by all team members.
- Be open to taking on extra responsibilities, such as line cleaning, cellar deep clean, and stock takes and ordering, as and when required.
- To go the extra mile, leading by example to the rest of the team that displays the characteristics and qualities that makes you ideal for the role.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
