Senior Kidney Dietitian
This is an exciting and unique opportunity to work as a Senior Kidney Dietitian supporting the team of established Kidney Dietitians within Dorset County Hospital.
About the Role
The kidney dietetic team form part of the larger Nutrition and Dietetics team at Dorset County Hospital consisting of Dietetic Support Workers, Dietetic Apprentices, Dietitians, Trainee ACPs, Nutrition Nurses and Admin Staff.
We are a friendly, supportive and forward-thinking team who actively prioritise staff wellbeing and development whilst ensuring effective and safe patient care. Within this role you will have access to internal and external development opportunities along with active management support.
The intention for this role is that it will be a Senior B7 post but for the right applicant, a B6-7 development post may be considered.
Responsibilities
The post holder will work as a highly specialist autonomous dietitian, responsible for an identified highly complex clinical caseload within the renal setting covering DCH inpatients, the clinics and the dialysis units managed by the South Somerset and Dorset Renal Service.
The post holder will function as an integral part of the multi-disciplinary team (MDT) delivering most appropriate therapeutic diet.

The post holder will work alongside the renal team lead to ensure that the renal dietetic service is responsive to the needs of patients and referring agents. The dietetic service provided should be of a high quality being both effective and efficient within available resources and abide by the professional code of conduct as well as healthcare professions council regulations.
