About the Role
You’ll be part of our operations team, ensuring food safety, stock accuracy, cleaning excellence and a high standard of health and safety across our catering outlets. This role requires handling goods receipts, store management, implementing food hygiene practices, cleaning equipment and training others to maintain our high standards.
Key Responsibilities
📦 Operations
Stock Management & Delivery Coordination
- Assist in induction and training of new kitchen porter colleagues, ensuring they are food-safe and health-hygiene compliant.
- Ensure correct goods receipts, reporting, storage, and rotating stock in line with usage and instructions.
- Collaborate with Chef Managers/Supervisors to clarify requirements for storing, cages, deliveries and updates to Warehouse Hub/Central Production Kitchen.
- Perform daily stock reviews to align inventory with 7-day usage patterns and delegate stock level checks to supervisors accordingly.
- Help organise internal deliveries across sites using our own vehicles and manage supplier deliveries as per agreed processes.
- Comply with standards for stock handling, food safety, and delivery procedures.
Record Keeping & Safety Compliance
- Electronic recording of goods using ProcureW Wizard.
- Assist in stock takes performed monthly.
- Contribute to ensuring regular audit standards for stock management and workplace safety.
- Maintain clean, order management and 'good housekeeping' practices across all sites.

🧼 Cleaning & Hygiene
- Sanitation Leadership: Ensure high quality cleanliness of all equipment, crockery, and cutlery across operations.
- Monitor and assign daily cleaning duties, supporting team complaince with Food Safety/COSHH/Hygiene policies.
- Supervise staff competence in safe chemical handling and waste disposal protocols.
🛡️ Health & Safety Compliance
- Receiving and validating incoming deliveries to FOOD SAFETY STANDARDS, including quality, hygiene, and regulatory checks.
- Guarantee proper stock storage using Rotation processes and safety protocols.
- Support the timely processing of deliveries to outlet验证eated outlets, balancing speed and quality.
- Safely manage waste removal under site plans, ensuring environmental compliance and minimising waste.
- Handle electrical and manual tools collegially with adherence to all standards and safety measures.

🛠️ Skills, Knowledge & Experience Required
- Strong understanding of food storage/inventory systems (including stock rotation).
- Prior experience in catering, kitchen portering, or warehousing.
- Experience with health & safety protocols—aims for adapability within a zero-harm culture.
- Teaching/communication skills to troubleshoot, support, and guide teams on standards for food safety, goods in, and cleaning procedures.

Must-Have:
- Food Safety Level 2 Certificate
- COSHH training
- Allergen training
- Manual Handling training
Beneficial:
- Trained in AACCP *(Advanced Accredited Country Practice)_rules *e.g. food safety legislation
- Operates under HACCP program standards
- Operating knowledge of prévention/transport services, audio-visual materials.
