Senior Kotlin Engineer - Remote - Outside IR-35
We're working with an exciting product business looking for a Senior Kotlin Engineer to join on an initial 6-month contract.
This is a fantastic opportunity to work on complex software powering connected products and real-world systems. You'll collaborate closely with Product and Engineering teams, helping to design and deliver scalable, high-quality solutions while influencing technical direction.

Essential Skills
- Strong commercial experience with Kotlin.
- Experience building complex backend systems or business-critical applications.
- Experience working with embedded systems, constrained hardware, IoT, BLE, NFC or similar connected technologies.
- Strong understanding of software architecture and engineering best practices.
- Product-focused mindset with excellent problem-solving skills.
- Comfortable working in a collaborative Agile environment.

Nice to Have
- Kotlin Multiplatform (KMP).
- JVM backend frameworks (e.g. Ktor, Spring Boot).
- Experience building SDKs or shared libraries.
- CI/CD and automated testing.
Contract Details
- Duration: 6 Months
- Location: Remote (UK)
- Outside IR35
- Rate: Up to £550 per day
