Senior Labour Recruiter

Hemel Hempstead (or surrounding areas)

Up to £50k per annum.

Are you currently working within Trades & Labour, Construction or Civil Engineering recruitment and looking for new challenges?

ENB are recruiting on behalf of our client a Senior Recruiter to lead the delivery of recruitment activities across major projects and key customer accounts, ensuring the timely supply of skilled, compliant labour while supporting the Head of Workforce Delivery in delivering operational excellence, workforce planning, and business growth.

Day to Day Responsibilities:

  • Manage the full recruitment lifecycle for temporary labour requirements across major infrastructure and construction projects throughout the UK.
  • Take ownership of candidate attraction initiatives, ensuring a consistent pipeline of skilled operatives is available to meet project demands.
  • Build and maintain talent pools across key trades including Plant Operators, Groundworkers, Pipelayers, Slinger Signallers, Traffic Marshals, Supervisors, and other civil engineering trades.
  • Take ownership of key customer accounts and project-specific recruitment requirements.
  • Proactively source, interview, assess, and recruit high-quality candidates, ensuring all operatives meet company and customer compliance requirements.
  • Support and mentor Labour Recruiters, sharing best practice and driving high recruitment standards.
  • Monitor recruitment activity, vacancy pipelines, and sourcing performance, identifying risks, and implementing solutions.
  • Ensure candidate records are accurately maintained within the CRM and ATS systems.
  • Maintain compliance with GDPR, employment legislation, and company policies.
  • Act as a senior point of contact for complex recruitment requirements and customer escalations.

Experience Required:

  • The ability to mentor and develop recruiters while driving performance.
  • Experience in Trades & Labour, Construction, or Civil Engineering recruitment.
  • Proven experience recruiting high volume temporary labour.
  • Strong network of construction operatives and candidate attraction expertise.
  • Knowledge of CSCS, CPCS, NPORS, right to work, and construction compliance.
  • Strong account management and relationship-building skills.
