New Company This is an excellent opportunity to join a large and well-regarded public sector legal team in West Yorkshire. The organisation is continuing to modernise and grow its legal services function, with a strong emphasis on delivering high-quality support to frontline safeguarding services. You will be part of a collaborative and supportive environment where your work will have a direct impact on protecting vulnerable individuals within the community.
There are two positions in this team available, either on a full-time or part-time (24 hours) basis.
Your New Role
You will join a specialist Safeguarding team, managing your own caseload and providing legal advice on a range of complex matters relating to adult social care.

- Managing cases from inception through to conclusion
- Providing clear and practical legal advice to clients
- Conducting your own advocacy at hearings
- Instructing counsel where required
This is a varied role, offering a mix of remote working, office attendance, and travel to courts and other locations.
What You’ll Need to Succeed
You will be a qualified (or soon to qualify) Solicitor, Barrister, or CILEx Fellow with relevant litigation and advocacy rights.
You should ideally have experience in one or more of the following areas:
- Court of Protection / Mental Capacity Act 2005
- Care Act 2014
- Mental Health Act 1983
- Community care law
- Advocacy within safeguarding or family proceedings
- Public law, including judicial review
