Senior L&D Consultant
Manchester (St Peter's Square)
Gravitas Group is hiring a Senior L&D Consultant to join our Manchester team in a role with real scope, visibility and long-term progression.
This is an opportunity to join an award-recognised business where Learning & Development is valued, evolving, and closely connected to commercial performance. You’ll play a key role in developing consultants in a high-growth, sales-led environment by partnering with leaders, delivering impactful training, and helping shape capability across the business.
Senior L&D Consultant - Why this is a great opportunity
At Gravitas, L&D is not viewed as a stand-alone support function. It works in partnership with the business, helping people ramp faster, perform better, and grow long term. The team is moving toward a more iterative, in-the-flow-of-work model, blending live delivery, practical application, coaching, and close stakeholder collaboration. You’ll join at an exciting point in that journey, with the chance to make a visible impact in Manchester while supporting a business with international reach. The role offers genuine opportunity to grow, with progression for the right person.
Senior L&D Consultant - The role
As Senior L&D Consultant, you’ll be responsible for supporting the development of consultants and leaders through high-quality training, coaching, and stakeholder partnership.
You’ll be involved in:
- Delivering inductions, workshops, role plays, and training sessions
- Supporting call coaching and wider capability development across the business
- Partnering closely with sales leaders and stakeholders to respond to business needs
- Working in a fast-paced environment where initiative, energy, and commercial understanding matter
- Building strong enough systems understanding to support training in a practical, sales-focused way

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
