As a Lead / Senior Engineer, Product Development & New Technology for Subsea Production Systems focusing on Subsea XT Systems, you will be accountable for bringing new products and designs to life from initial customer requirements, conceptual design, detailed engineering, testing and qualification through to being approved and delivered to our customers. You will collaborate across multiple locations, teams and functions to assure engineering requirements are captured, enabling us to differentiate ourselves with solutions that will help us to become extremely competitive. Multiple positions are being considered for Lead and Senior Engineering roles to join the Product Development and New Technology team.
As a Lead / Senior Engineer, Product Development & New Technology you will be responsible for:
Developing Subsea XT technologies which fit the needs of the customer while engineering new and proven technologies and solutions. Generating new designs, detailed drawings, stack up drawings, bill of materials, calculations, engineering part information and leading qualification, system integration testing to meet customer requirements and industry standards. Ensuring scopes are completed within the agreed timeline and budget. You will be fully accountable to manage the plan, budget, risks, resources and stakeholder / change management. Leading global teams and working directly with all business functions with an in-depth understanding for DFMA (Design for Manufacture and Assembly) principles. Providing technical guidance and peer reviews for engineering deliverables whilst coaching and mentoring other engineers and designers within a globally diverse team. Open and explore new opportunities and ideas. Creating new exciting patents and technology whilst conducting Freedom to Operate analysis and following market trends.

To be successful in this role you will need to:
Have proven experience in Design Engineering for Subsea Production Systems – An in-depth understanding of how engineering transforms into a real-life product - experience with 3D models and detailed drawings using CAD software. A deep understanding of GD&T and Design for Manufacture principles. Direct ownership and accountability with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders and conflict management whilst having the ability to coordinate several projects simultaneously. Have a deep knowledge of CAD tools CREO(PRO-E) and TeamCenter / PLM Engineering packages. Have a bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in engineering preferably Mechanical / Industrial / Petroleum – A willingness and desire to continue personal development. (Chartered Engineer desirable). Have a sense of dissatisfaction with the status quo. The best is yet to be invented. Have a positive, proactive growth mindset. Learn to be ok with failure.
