## About The Role

The Senior Lead Practitioner supports the Nursery Manager & Deputy Manager in ensuring smooth, efficient operations. Your role involves:

  • Supervising staff while maintaining a high standard of childcare
  • Ensuring regulatory compliance with early years standards
  • Providing positive parental relationships and stakeholder engagement
  • Offering practical, child-focused leadership with a team player attitude

## Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the management team to deliver quality early years education
  • Ensure health, safety, and welfare standards are met
  • Supervise staff, mentor, and provide ongoing support
  • Maintain detailed child progress records and observe government requirements
  • Handle production duties (meals, equipment, general nursery upkeep)
  • Foster communication between parents, staff, and external stakeholders
  • Represent the setting at local/govt projects where necessary

## Essential Criteria

  • Level 3 Childcare Qualification (or above) in line with UK government early years framework
  • Experience as a Qualified Practitioner (ideal for step-up opportunities)
