Job Title: Senior Lecturer

Location: 13 North Common Road, Ealing, London W5 2QB

Team: DPsych (Academic Team)

Salary: £47,717 (FTE)

Contract type: Permanent

Hours per week: Part-time (0.5 FTE)

Working pattern: Online weekday

About This Role

Our Senior Lecturers (DPsych) provide academic leadership that ensures high-quality teaching, learning, and student success. They lead on curriculum development, assessment, quality assurance, and module delivery while supporting both colleagues and students.

You'll promote inclusive and innovative teaching, contribute to continuous improvement, and help deliver an excellent learning experience across our doctoral programmes.

About You

You'll be committed to excellence in teaching and learning and continue developing your expertise through pedagogy, research, and leadership. You'll participate in mentoring and peer observation, build professional networks within and beyond the Institute, and represent Metanoia through professional bodies, conferences, seminars, and scholarly activity.

You'll Have

  • A PhD or Professional Doctorate in Psychotherapy, Counselling Psychology, or an allied field.
  • Professional registration with UKCP, BACP, or BPS/HCPC.
  • Evidence of engagement in scholarly and research activity, including recent publications.
  • Post-qualification experience as a psychotherapist or psychological practitioner.
  • Experience supervising doctoral research projects through to completion.
  • Experience managing and working collaboratively across a network of services and professionals.

Desirable Criteria

  • Post-qualification training and/or evidence of continuing professional development (e.g., Fellowship of Advance HE).
  • Experience as a member of a Doctoral programme in Psychotherapy, Counselling Psychology, or a related field.
  • Experience designing and implementing curricula for Doctoral programmes in Psychotherapy or Counselling Psychology.
