An Opportunity to Join Our BA (Hons) Filmmaking Course
An opportunity has arisen to join our BA (Hons) Filmmaking course as a Senior Lecturer. The main focus of the role will be to lead, develop, deliver, support and assess film theory and filmmaking practice modules across the course, working as part of the course team. You will be expected to have a specialist understanding of contemporary filmmaking practice in a wide variety of contexts and the ability to present and communicate this knowledge effectively to students.

Responsibilities
- Lead, develop, deliver, support and assess film theory and filmmaking practice modules across the course.
- Work as part of the course team.
- Contribute skills and experience to building an external profile with employers, film and cinema events and exhibitors.
- Deliver within a variety of settings including lectures, seminars, studio and location-based workshops, peer reviews, and individual tutorials.
- Provide pastoral support for students.

Requirements
- A master’s degree in a relevant subject (or be willing to achieve such within two years of appointment).
- A postgraduate teaching qualification (or be willing to achieve one within 3 years).
- Specialist filmmaking skills and the ability to support critical thinking and reflective practice.
