Experienced Lawyer Opportunity
We are looking for an experienced lawyer (10yrs+ PQE) to join our client’s in-house legal team. You’ll be part of a great international team in a collegiate environment, with excellent working conditions, scope for hybrid working, a comprehensive salary and benefits package, and of course, stimulating work. The role will be at either Senior Manager / AVP or at VP level subject to your experience, and the business focuses on the investment funds / funds services sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Guiding the business on financial services regulation and best practice in the sphere of investment funds/ funds services, and other commercial issues
- Advising on data protection issues, legal / regulatory developments, etc.
- Providing guidance and support to the compliance and risk teams on associated legal issues
- Involvement in enhancing policies and precedents, contract negotiations, etc.
- Involvement in cross discipline project work from the legal perspective
- Managing potential disputes and managing external counsel

Requirements
- Have a qualification as a solicitor or barrister, with a minimum of 10 years’ experience PQE in a high-calibre UK law firm (ideally with some in-house experience, but that's not essential)
- Have experience of financial services regulation and solid knowledge of alternative investment funds regulation, and ideally fiduciary / fund services (though that's not essential)
- Use your skills to provide commercially focused advice, being proactive and reactive when necessary
- Be a skilled multi-tasker, able to prioritise and to keep colleagues appraised of progress
- Manage matters effectively to completion
- You’ll have excellent communication skills
