Senior Legal Counsel

We’re seeking a Senior Legal Counsel to embed into GetGround’s legal function, delivering sharp, commercially savvy legal advice as we scale.

GetGround bridges fintech, proptech, and wealthtech, managing:

- 30,000+ users spanning 70 countries
- Regulated product portfolio including mortgages, property management, and investment tools
The Opportunity
As the business grows, so do its legal needs. You’ll be the curveball handler in-house:
- Ensuring compliance during high-speed movement
- Championing integrity, speed, and authority in every decision
- A role for a lawyer passionate about tackling varied, exciting challenges in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
đź“‘ Commercial and Contracts
- Draft, negotiate, and review contracts (supplier agreements, partnerships, customer terms)
- Advise business teams on contractual risk and enable decision-speed
- Overhaul and optimise contract templates, playbooks, and standard clauses
- Supervise external counsel for specialised matters
⚡ Product and Regulatory
- Support new product features, customer journeys, and platform changes with legal input
- Navigate FCA regulatory compliance for mortgages, property tools, and wealth products
- Assist compliance reviews for customer-facing content and regulated messaging
- Track regulatory updates and flag implications

About You

Qualification & Experience: A UK solicitor with 4+ years PQE, ideally balancing private practice and in-house experience.

Core Skills: ✔ Commercial legal minds—agile contract negotiation at lightning speed ✔ Deep FCA regulatory know-how, especially in fintech/financial services

Mindset:
- Curiosity for emerging law areas
- Template-free order: balance legal analysis with practical, commercial advice
- Confidence: thrive autonomously, manage workloads, and advise flawlessly

- Crystal clarity in verbal and written communication
