Senior Legal Counsel (US Qualified)
London | Hybrid (3 days in the office)
We're working with a fast-growing fintech looking to hire a US-qualified Senior Legal Counsel to lead its US legal function from London.
This is an opportunity to join a high-growth, international business where legal is viewed as a commercial partner. You'll be the go-to lawyer for US legal matters, working closely with senior stakeholders across the business while helping support continued expansion in the US market.
The role
You'll advise on a broad range of commercial and strategic matters, including:
- Leading legal support for the company's US business.
- Drafting and negotiating a wide variety of commercial agreements.
- Advising on product launches and strategic initiatives.
- Partnering with senior stakeholders across Legal, Compliance, and the wider business.
- Managing external counsel where required.
- Helping shape legal strategy as the business continues to grow internationally.

We're looking for
- US-qualified lawyer.
- At least 5 years' post-qualification experience gained at a leading law firm.
- Strong commercial contracts experience.
- Experience advising high-growth businesses, financial services, or fintech clients would be advantageous.
- Candidates are welcome from either private practice or an in-house legal team, provided they have a solid foundation from a top-tier private practice background.
- Commercial mindset with the confidence to work autonomously and influence senior stakeholders.
