Senior Legal Counsel & Compliance Lead

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a commercially minded lawyer to join a growing international business with its UK headquarters in the Midlands.

Reporting directly to the General Counsel, this is a broad and business-facing role offering the opportunity to combine commercial legal work with ownership of the compliance programme across the UK businesses. You'll enjoy significant autonomy, regular interaction with senior leadership and the opportunity to influence the legal and compliance agenda during an exciting period of growth, innovation and expansion into new markets.

Whilst the role is primarily UK-focused, you will also work closely with colleagues across the wider international Group, contributing to broader compliance initiatives and sharing best practice.

Working as part of a collaborative legal team, your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading the continued development, implementation and embedding of the UK compliance programme.
  • Advising the business across a broad range of compliance matters, including data privacy, anti-bribery and corruption, competition law, consumer law, modern slavery, third-party risk, corporate fraud and advertising standards.
  • Drafting, reviewing and negotiating a wide range of commercial contracts.
  • Supporting the business on disputes and a variety of day-to-day legal matters.
  • Working closely with the General Counsel, Senior Leadership Team and the Compliance & Risk Committee to deliver pragmatic, commercially focused advice.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
