Location: London | Contract: Hybrid (3 days) | Travel: International required Salary: £110,000 – £120,000 + Benefits

The Opportunity
As a key legal partner to key stakeholders, you’ll never be confined to "on-look" duties. Expect hands-on involvement in:
- Shaping commercial strategy alongside leadership
- Balancing risk mitigation while enabling growth
- Driving transformation via technology and legal process automation
- Direct collaboration with colleagues across five time zones (UK, Germany, France and US)
Reporting to: General Counsel

Key Responsibilities
Contractual Adherence & Commercial Strategy
- Draft, negotiate, and refine commercial agreements including:
- Framework contracts
- Customer and supplier agreements
- Strategic partnerships
Operational and Governance Support
- Advise on legal compliance, governance requirements, and corporate secretsarial matters
- Lead acquisitions, integrations and high-stakes corporate transactions
- Orient stakeholders on daily legal, regulatory, and employment hotspots
Dispute and Risk Management
- Address disputes and claims through collaboration with external advisers
- Develop and nurture vendor and stakeholder relationships
- Uphold anti-bribery and data protection requirements
Process Evolution & Technology Advancement
- Create legal process templates and practical policies
- Support AI-driven legal innovation and automation solutions
- Reduce red tape to improve efficiency and client responsiveness
Cross-Border Collaboration
- Partner with colleagues and offices in five global hubs, providing jurisdiction-spanning legal counsel remaining commercially aligned with business objectives
Who We’re Looking For
We need commercially savvy legal advocates who thrive as strategic partners—not detached advisors.
Ideal Experience
- Senior Legal Counsel / Legal Counsel / Commercial Lawyer: with commercial or corporate focus as an in-house resource
- Proven experience in-house: having transitioned from private practice or working for multinational firms

Core Skills & Traits
- Exceptional contract negotiation and drafting skills — adorned by sound legal judgement
- Commercially hard-wired — ability to speak the same language as stakeholders from varied business divisions
- Deep international experience: either in-house at a multinational or advising corporate/international clients
- Partnership mindset — serious marries with caution, ensuring legal advice drives recommendations!
- Tech-forward attitude: interest in AI, e-discovery, and automation
- Confidence engaging at senior levels alongside CEOs, General Counsels and other executive decision-makers
Preferred (Not-Exclusive) Sectors
While not strictly required, prior expertise in any of the following areas is pleasantly welcomed:

Similarly valued: exceptional commercial legal experience from sectors outside these, especially where it demonstrates resilience and transferable skills.
