Senior Legal Counsel

London | Hybrid

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Legal Counsel (4-8 PQE) to join the growing legal team of a highly regarded international energy business.

This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded lawyer looking to broaden their experience across energy trading, commodities, derivatives and project finance, while working closely with the legal team and senior stakeholders in a fast-paced and collaborative environment.

The business is experiencing significant growth, and this role offers genuine progression.

The Role

You'll advise on a broad range of commercial and financing matters, including:

  • Energy trading and commodities transactions.
  • Derivatives and structured finance documentation.
  • Banking and finance matters.
  • Project finance transactions.
  • Commercial contracts and strategic business initiatives.
  • Providing pragmatic, commercially focused legal advice to senior stakeholders across the business.

About You

We're keen to speak with lawyers who have 4-8 years' PQE gained in private practice or in-house. You'll bring experience in at least one of the following:

  • Energy trading
  • Commodities
  • Derivatives
  • Banking & Finance
  • Structured Finance / Securitisation
  • Project Finance

You don't need experience across every discipline - strong expertise in one area, coupled with an appetite to learn, will be highly valued.
