Senior Legal Counsel
Senior Legal Counsel
📍 London | Full time | Hybrid | Legal & Compliance
We're looking for a Senior Legal Counsel to be a core part of GetGround’s legal function, providing sharp, commercially minded legal advice across the business as we scale.
You'll be doing the legal work, advising on commercial contracts, product questions, regulatory matters, and everything in between. You'll be a trusted partner to teams across the business and a key part of how we manage legal risk day-to-day.
The Opportunity
GetGround operates at the intersection of fintech, proptech, and wealthtech. We have ÂŁ2Bn+ in assets on platform, 30,000+ users across 70 countries, and a portfolio of regulated products spanning mortgages, property management, and investment tools.
As we continue to grow, our legal needs are growing with us. You'll play a central role in keeping the business legally sound, moving quickly, and operating with integrity. For a lawyer who wants to work on genuinely varied, interesting matters in a fast-paced environment, this is a strong opportunity.
What You’ll Be Doing
Commercial and Contracts
- Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial contracts, including supplier agreements, partnership contracts, and customer terms
- Advise business teams on contractual risk and help them make informed decisions quickly
- Maintain and improve GetGround’s contract templates, playbooks, and standard terms
- Support the management of external counsel on matters requiring specialist input
Product and Regulatory
- Provide legal input on new product features, customer journeys, and platform changes
- Advise on FCA regulatory requirements as they apply to GetGround’s products and services
- Support compliance reviews of customer-facing content and regulated communications
- Help track relevant regulatory developments and flag implications for the business

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
