We have a fantastic opportunity for a 12-month maternity cover to join a highly regarded legal team within a successful investment management business where legal is genuinely viewed as a strategic partner to the organisation. Working directly with the General Counsel, Board and senior leadership team, you will enjoy exceptional exposure across the business and advise on a broad mix of corporate and commercial matters. - Providing commercially focused legal advice across a broad range of corporate matters.
- Advising on investment structures, corporate governance and subsidiary oversight.
- Supporting financing arrangements, company secretarial matters and legal risk management.
- Drafting, reviewing and negotiating a variety of commercial contracts and legal documentation.
- Managing external legal advisers and other professional service providers.
- Overseeing the execution of legal documentation in line with governance requirements.
- Delivering legal training and guidance across the business.
- Building trusted relationships with senior stakeholders and acting as a key business partner.
About You
You will be a qualified lawyer with experience in corporate, commercial and/or funds law and be looking for a broad, business-facing in-house role. You will also have:
- Experience advising on corporate transactions, commercial agreements, governance matters or investment structures.
- A commercial, pragmatic and solutions-focused mindset.
- The ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-moving environment.
- Excellent drafting, communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong judgement and exceptional attention to detail.
- A proactive and collaborative approach.
