An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Corporate Funds Lawyer to join the legal team of a highly regarded investment management business on a 12-month fixed-term maternity cover.

Working closely with the General Counsel, you will advise on a broad range of funds, corporate and investment management matters, partnering with the Board and senior leadership team on strategic legal issues. This is a visible, business-facing role where the legal function is valued as a trusted commercial adviser.

Key responsibilities:

  • Advising on fund structures, investment vehicles, joint ventures and corporate governance matters.
  • Supporting corporate transactions, financing arrangements and subsidiary oversight.
  • Drafting and negotiating commercial agreements and investment-related documentation.
  • Managing external legal advisers and overseeing legal risk and governance.
  • Supporting company secretarial matters and the execution of legal documentation.
  • Building trusted relationships with senior stakeholders across the business and delivering commercially focused legal advice.

About you:

  • You will be a qualified lawyer with experience in corporate and funds law, gained in private practice or in-house, with a strong understanding of investment structures and investment management.
  • Experience advising on corporate transactions and fund structures.
  • A commercial, pragmatic and solutions-focused approach, with the ability to build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders.
  • Excellent drafting, negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong judgement, attention to detail and a collaborative mindset.
