About the Company

We are partnering with one of the Middle East's leading venture capital and alternative investment platforms to appoint a Senior Legal Counsel / Legal Director.

About the Role

This is an opportunity to join a highly active investment team deploying capital across venture capital, growth equity and private markets throughout the GCC and internationally. The successful candidate will play a key role advising on investments, fund matters and strategic transactions while working alongside experienced investors and senior leadership.

Responsibilities

  • Lead legal execution of venture capital, growth equity and private equity investments.
  • Draft and negotiate investment documentation including Shareholders' Agreements, Subscription Agreements, Share Purchase Agreements, Convertible Instruments and related transaction documents.
  • Advise on fund structuring, portfolio management, exits, secondary transactions and corporate restructurings.
  • Support cross-border M&A, financing transactions and joint ventures.
  • Provide strategic legal advice to investment professionals and portfolio companies.
  • Manage relationships with external counsel across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Advise on corporate governance, regulatory and compliance matters.

Qualifications

  • Qualified solicitor or attorney (England & Wales strongly preferred; other common law jurisdictions will also be considered).
  • Approximately 7–15 years' PQE.
  • Experience gained within a leading international law firm and/or an investment fund, venture capital platform, private equity firm or family office.
  • Strong background in venture capital, private equity, M&A or investment funds.
  • Demonstrated experience negotiating complex cross-border transactions.
  • Commercial mindset with the ability to work closely with investment professionals.
