Your Mission
Act as Brand Lead for James Purdey & Sons (Purdey) and provide global legal support to the Purdey on all matters.
Provide global legal support to the other UK Maisons (Alfred Dunhill, Peter Millar & G/FORE UK and Laureus World Sports Awards).
Provide local legal support to the Richemont UK Operations functions and Maisons that operate via the Richemont UK platform.
Support the UK Corporate team as needed.
HOW WILL YOU MAKE AN IMPACT?
Brand Lead for Purdey
- To act as the primary legal support for Purdey on all aspects of its business.
- This will include advising Purdey’s GLT team and attending the GLT monthly meetings where necessary.
- In partnership with the IP Head Counsel for Purdey, you will be responsible for the global legal affairs of Purdey and will need to work with the business to understand its strategies, identify legal risk areas and advise on the implications in a timely manner.
UK Maisons Support
- To provide global legal support to the UK Maisons (Alfred Dunhill, Peter Millar & G/FORE UK and Laureus World Sports Awards) on a variety of commercial matters.
- You will work alongside Head Counsel, Trainee Solicitor and Group Legal Intellectual Property team to provide legal support for the Maisons, and, where necessary in relation to Peter Millar & G/FORE, liaise with Group Legal US colleagues.
Richemont UK Operations Support
- To provide legal support to the UK Operations functions and the Maisons that operate via the Richemont UK platform on UK specific issues such as real estate and construction matters, BOS & health and safety issues, UK consumer disputes, including disputes with third party suppliers, distributors, insolvency risks, stock and debt recovery matters.
- You will work with the Richemont UK ExCo team and/or the UK Procurement team where necessary to provide support to the business on new projects.

Work closely with the UK Maison teams, UK Richemont Operations teams, and the wider Richemont Group, including the Group Legal Intellectual Property team, Human Resources, Group Security, marketing, digital and communications teams (both at Group and Maison level).

Respond to ad hoc queries to include identification, analysis and evaluation of risks in order to provide appropriate legal solutions, including regulatory compliance.

Support the monitoring and management of compliance risks re: legal, regulatory, preparation of and adherence to Group policies, procedures, etc. and ensure regular use of and contribution to Group Legal’s knowledge management including remaining current on applicable legislation.

Draft, review and contribute to Group Legal memos, guidelines, business rules, processes, where needed in close collaboration with Group Maisons, Functions and/or Regions and the central Group Legal Team.

Get involved in, contribute to, project-manage – as the case may be – Legal Operations-related projects in line with the agenda set by the Group General Counsel, the Chief Counsel, Richemont and Regions and the Legal Leadership Team.

- Support in the development and delivery of training initiatives for internal teams on best practice and internal policies.
HOW WILL YOU EXPERIENCE SUCCESS WITH US?
- Five years or more of work experience in a similar role (compliance, business legal function).
- Experience with AI technology solutions (e.g., Legora or Harvey AI).
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree.
- General commercial experience and business acumen also needed. Experience in the luxury industry is also particularly valued.
