About the role

As Senior Legal Counsel, Procurement, you will be part of the wider Corporate Legal team, supporting Haleon’s Global Procurement organisation. The role provides broad based legal support across commercial transactions, with a strong focus on delivering a balanced and pragmatic risk approach. You will manage multiple strategic deals and projects concurrently, ensuring senior stakeholders are kept appropriately informed of the legal considerations and risks associated with each.

We are seeking an individual with a practical, solutions-oriented mindset who combines strong legal and commercial expertise, demonstrates continuous improvement, and proactively anticipates and resolves issues.

Key responsibilities:

  • Review and/or draft, analyse, counsel, and negotiate large strategic procurement deals (including any related legal, policy, regulatory and compliance issues) integrating legal knowledge with sound business understanding to reach a pragmatic result.
  • Negotiate and custom draft other legal documents that may arise related to such transactions.
  • Act as a point of escalation on the non-strategic but high-volume procurement transactions handled by attorneys in a centralized service center.
  • Provide oversight and advice on playbooks, templates, and processes used by a centralized service center for procurement contracting.
  • Implement operational excellence projects in the procurement contracting space.
  • Research, review, and interpret new or pending legislation and regulations impacting procurement contracting to ensure compliance.
  • Implement best practices to strengthen connection between Legal, Procurement, and other functions.
  • Collaborate with teams across Group Legal, such as Litigation and/or Local Counsel Teams, to deliver a unified message to stakeholders while maintaining singular accountability.
  • Partner proactively with the Global Procurement Leadership Team -- and collaborate with other Functions and with the business’s Operating Units -- to collectively make decisions and solve business challenges.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
