We're partnering with a leading UK business to appoint a Senior Legal Counsel to join its established legal team in a fast-paced and dynamic business.

This is an opportunity to join a highly respected PE-backed company undergoing significant growth and transformation, where legal is viewed as a genuine strategic partner to the business. Working closely with stakeholders across multiple functions, you'll play a key role in helping the business navigate an increasingly complex regulatory environment while supporting commercial objectives and future growth initiatives.

The position offers an excellent blend of regulatory advisory work, commercial contracting and strategic business partnering, providing exposure to a broad range of high-profile matters across a dynamic and evolving business.

The Role

As part of a collaborative legal team, you will:

  • Provide legal and regulatory advice on a broad range of customer-facing products and services
  • Draft, negotiate and advise on complex commercial and regulated agreements
  • Support strategic partnerships and key commercial relationships
  • Act as a trusted adviser on new business initiatives, product development and growth opportunities
  • Partner closely with Risk, Compliance and business stakeholders on regulatory matters
  • Advise on the impact of regulatory developments and emerging requirements
  • Balance commercial objectives with legal and regulatory risk management
  • Support business-wide projects and transformation initiatives
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of legal processes and ways of working
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels of the organisation

Requirements For The Role

Our client is seeking a candidate:

  • 5+ years' PQE
  • Experience negotiating and advising on complex commercial agreements
  • Excellent stakeholder management and business partnering skills
  • Experience working closely with Compliance and Risk teams
  • The ability to communicate complex legal and regulatory issues in a practical and commercial manner
  • A pragmatic, solutions-focused approach
  • Experience gained either in-house or within private practice
