Key Responsibilities
- Review and negotiate contracts – ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Stakeholder liaison – managing internal/external communications with clarity and timeliness.
- Contract policy updates – maintaining and revising Hoare Lea’s terms and conditions and related guidance.
- Ad hoc legal advice – supporting colleagues with specialist counsel.
- Legal compliance – overseeing and updating the firm’s compliance register.
Requirements
To succeed, you’ll need:
- Proven experience as a commercial lawyer, either in-house or in private practice.
- Hands-on experience with Suppliers of Service Agreements (consulting contract knowledge—especially in construction—is a plus).
- A commercial mindset with the ability to balance *risk, pragmatic solutions and business benefit.
- Strong prioritisation and time management – excel at juggling competing deadlines while managing stakeholder expectations.
- Knowledge-sharing skills – experience in mentoring or upskilling team members.
- Communication and problem-solving – sharp communication paired with a passion for collaborative resolutions.
- Commit to continuous improvement.
