Senior Legal Counsel – Investments 📍 London (hybrid)
A high-growth, digitally-led UK financial services business is seeking an experienced Senior Legal Counsel (Investments) to join the team during a critical phase of product launch and regulatory engagement.
This is a hands-on, embedded role reporting to the Head of Legal, with ownership of the legal workstream for a new investments proposition as it moves through final regulatory stages to go-live.
The Opportunity You will take end-to-end responsibility for a well-advanced investments workstream, stepping into a fast-paced, delivery-focused environment where legal is closely aligned with product, compliance and technology.
Key focus areas include: Leading legal input into a new processes, including direct FCA engagement Finalising and negotiating platform, custody, fund manager and tech/vendor agreements Overseeing client-facing documentation (execution-only model, disclosures, ISA/GIA terms) Ensuring alignment across regulatory commitments, contracts and operational frameworks Supporting product governance, financial promotions and go-live readiness Partnering closely with compliance on outsourcing, CASS, Consumer Duty and operational resilience

Alongside the core investments workstream, you will also provide support to a developing wealth / net worth proposition, particularly around partnering models and emerging product features.

What We’re Looking For UK-qualified lawyer with ~5+ PQE Strong background in financial services regulatory and investments law Experience gained in-house or advising banks, platforms, wealth managers or asset managers Demonstrable expertise across: FCA permissions (Part 4A / VoP) and regulatory engagement Investment platforms, custody and execution-only models COBS, SYSC, PROD and CASS frameworks Outsourcing and operational resilience regimes Commercial / technology contracts in regulated environments You will be: Immediately or shortly available Comfortable operating with autonomy in a fast-moving environment Pragmatic, delivery-focused and commercially minded Experienced in managing external counsel and cross-functional stakeholders Why this role?
