Delivering these services relies on an enthusiastic, customer-focused team, and they're now looking for a Senior Lifeguard to join their team and help make a positive difference every day.
Role Purpose:
As the Senior Lifeguard, the purpose of the role will be to work within the centre whilst ensuring customer safety and high standards of service and customer care. You will be reporting to the duty manager and in the duty manager’s absence, the successful candidate will be managing the facility and ensure all activities are delivered to a high standard.

As the senior lifeguard, you’ll naturally need to be safety conscious, vigilant, and able to deal with pressurised situations. Lastly, you’ll need to have strong swimming skills and it’s essential that you hold a National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (Royal Life Saving Society) & first aid qualification to be considered for this role.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
