I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

About Us
Founded in 1998, Delta Lighting Design is an award-winning, independent lighting design studio, with offices in London and Dubai. Today, we work with the most prominent names in the architectural field in Europe, US and the Middle East, and our portfolio includes some of the most exciting projects currently on the market, from city masterplans to urban areas regeneration, public cultural spaces and high-end hospitality.
Our approach to lighting design is highly creative, within a framework of technological vision and dark sky protection. We employ latest technologies to achieve state-of-the art lighting schemes, while maintaining focus on exquisite human experience. We do not supply lighting equipment and remain completely independent as designers, yet very often our projects require a high level of customization and integration, challenging us to innovate and anticipate future technologies.
With a robust team of experienced and driven designers, BIM architects, VR and visual artists, we assume full ownership of the lighting process and lead it from concept to commissioning, giving the best level of service, professionalism and on-time delivery.
We are a young and super friendly team, and while being spread across 3 countries we have in place a communication system, to ensure a constant flow of knowledge and fresh ideas among team members.
“It took my CV and asked me questions relevant to understanding what kind of jobs to suggest for me. Suggestions were almost perfect. Jobs were exactly what I’ve been looking for.”
