Linux System Administrator
This role will be fully in-person based out of London, with frequent travel to New York City and elsewhere. Excellent compensation and benefits.
The Role
The role is for a senior hands-on Linux Systems Administrator with 10+ years of experience, willing to wear many hats in a small shop environment; it requires deep Linux knowledge for troubleshooting, etc., along with willingness to install equipment (servers, workstations and networking appliances).

Our client is a mid-size trading firm, a Linux shop both on the servers and desktops. Windows administration skills are a plus.
Frequent interaction with users at all levels; good communication skills are a must-have.
All Linux systems work is on-premises, on desktops, servers and in the datacenters.
Skills & Attributes
- Expert level Linux administration is required
- Ubuntu and/or Debian experience highly desirable
- Experience scripting in Python, bash (must have); SQL and Perl (a plus)
- Experience with Ansible, Linux KVM and Bind preferred
- Knowledge of cybersecurity tools
- Hands-on work is frequent such as racking and stacking, moving heavy equipment

- Installations of workstations
- Installations of networking appliances and servers in data centers, requiring frequent international travel

- Large-scale build-outs, requiring frequent domestic and international travel
