We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Litigation Paralegal/Chartered Legal Executive to join our thriving Consumer Finance team, primarily based in our Southampton office but with hybrid working available.
You will manage your own case load of finance litigation matters which may include:
- Defended/disputed debt recovery matters
- Return of goods claims
- Innocent purchaser claims
- Satisfactory quality disputes
- Judgment enforcement
- Ad hoc consumer/B2B finance related disputes
- Dealing with trial preparation and/or interim applications
- Advising clients in respect of any technical regulatory queries

Practical training will be given to you to assist you with your tasks which will include use of our Case Management Systems and/or client systems, where appropriate.
The successful candidate will be a proactive member of a team with a can do attitude.
Skills / Experience Required
- Legal background/previous experience within a law firm, although this does not have to be within debt recovery
- Must be willing to undertake a credit check process
- Good GCSEs and/or A Levels
- IT literate – proven Microsoft Excel experience at intermediate level
- Negotiation skills
- Attention to detail
- Strong team player with the ability to work on own initiative
- Enthusiastic and positive attitude
- Confident communicator with an excellent telephone manner
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment
- Good understanding of client service internally and externally. Committed to treating all clients/customers fairly
