Emergency Medicine Team Opportunity at Wythenshawe Hospital
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Emergency Medicine Team at Wythenshawe Hospital, part of Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust. Previous NHS experience is essential.
About the Role
We are seeking experienced clinicians working at ST4+ level (or equivalent) who can manage adult and paediatric emergency presentations with a high degree of clinical autonomy. Applicants must have substantial NHS experience and be confident in the assessment and management of critically ill and injured patients.
Responsibilities
- Undertake middle-grade responsibilities
- Supervise junior colleagues
- Contribute to departmental leadership and patient flow
Requirements
- Motivated clinicians with a proven track record of delivering high-quality emergency care within the NHS
- Demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and professional behaviours expected of a senior Emergency Medicine doctor
- Must hold a current registration with the GMC at the time of application

About the Hospital
You will be working in one of Greater Manchester’s busiest hospitals, where over 100,000 patients are assessed in the Emergency Department each year. Our state-of-the-art department includes a Paediatric Emergency Department, Urgent Treatment Centre, Resuscitation Area, and Same Day Emergency Care Unit providing front-door medical and respiratory assessment.
