Job Opportunity: Senior Logistics Coordinator
We are currently looking for a Senior Logistics Coordinator to join the Grid & Digital Solutions department, as part of the Thermal Power & HVDC division of Metlen, for the EGL1 Project, based in Torness.
Responsibilities
- Coordinating site logistics operations during the construction phase.
- Planning and managing delivery schedules for equipment, materials, and site supplies.
- Coordinating the receipt, storage, movement, and distribution of materials and equipment on site.
- Working closely with Project Managers, Construction Managers, engineers, procurement teams, suppliers, subcontractors, and freight forwarders.
- Verifying the quantity and quality of materials received against delivery documentation and purchase orders.
- Overseeing unloading operations and reporting any discrepancies, damages, shortages, or delays.
- Maintaining accurate records of deliveries, goods received notes, supplier logs, and stock registers.
- Supporting site operations by ensuring materials and equipment are available in line with construction priorities.
- Coordinating logistics interfaces between site, head office, suppliers, subcontractors, and external stakeholders.
- Preparing logistics reports, delivery forecasts, and material status updates.
- Promoting and upholding health, safety, and environmental standards across all logistics activities.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in logistics, materials coordination, or supply chain coordination within construction, infrastructure, energy, or heavy industrial projects.
- Strong understanding of site logistics, material flow, delivery coordination, goods receipt, and inventory tracking.
- Experience coordinating with suppliers, subcontractors, freight forwarders, procurement teams, and construction teams.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Familiarity with logistics management systems, ERP systems, or material tracking tools will be considered an asset.
- Strong organizational, coordination, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced construction site environment.
