Job Title: Senior Logistics Manager
Location: Didcot in Oxford
Due to continued growth, Select Logistics are looking for a Senior Logistics Manager to join our team.
The ideal candidate will have proven experience working on major projects and excel at building solid stakeholder engagement. This role will build on experience gained through our Logistics community ensuring best practices are put in place and communicated to the central logistics team for sharing across the business.
The Ideal Candidate Will
- Have experience of creating major project logistics strategy documents including Site/ Factory set up mobilisation plans.
- Materials forecasting, flow development and reporting - Lead the plan for entry and exit of all material movements inclusive of Delivery Management System
- Transport, including road, rail, and shipping - development of the freight profile (including bulks and AILs) – Forecasting vehicle movements and quantities.
- Develop people forecasting, monitoring, and reporting of the data.
- Support demand profiling for site temp utilities
- Support in project mobilisation - coordination of design, installation, and handover to operational teams
- Have good knowledge and experience of Construction Consolidation Centres (CCC)
- Ideally with nuclear, power, infrastructure experience
- Understanding of critical transport set up on construction projects.
- Have a developing knowledge of strategic planning and project / programme management systems.
- Proven data analysis experience and experience in Construction activities and plant movements.
- Have a working knowledge of safety of loads of vehicles and H&S standards for pedestrian access routes.
- Be an advocate for Sustainability best practice and innovation in your function, ensure ongoing developments & improvements are made to maximise the benefits to the business & celebrate successes.
- Competent IT skills – MS Applications and use of delivery management systems, access control and telematics
- Member of Chartered Institute of Logistics & Transport (CILT)
- Having good interpersonal skills, organised and proactive and being programme production driven.
