Senior Machine Learning Engineer
Transform AI in Healthcare

What You'll Be Doing
As a Senior Machine Learning Engineer, you will:
- Design and implement end-to-end machine learning pipelines, including data ingestion, model training, validation, deployment, and monitoring.
- Build and optimise scalable ML infrastructure with a focus on reliability, maintainability, performance, and cost efficiency.
- Partner with Data Science, Engineering, and Product teams to develop AI/ML solutions for complex business problems.
- Design reference architectures leveraging LLMs, code interpretation, tool usage, knowledge graphs, and advanced AI techniques.
- Continuously evaluate emerging technologies and contribute to technical knowledge sharing across the organisation.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to engineering best practices.

What We're Looking For
Essential Skills & Experience:
- Graduate degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, or another quantitative discipline (or equivalent industry experience).
- 5+ years' experience building large-scale, production AI/ML applications.
- Strong background in:
- Machine Learning
- MLOps
- Distributed Systems
- Cloud Infrastructure
- System Design
- Latency & Performance Optimisation
- Knowledge Graphs
- Excellent Python development skills.
- Experience with core data science libraries including:
- Pandas
- NumPy
- Scikit-learn (or equivalent)
- Strong understanding of:
- Computer Science fundamentals
- Algorithms
- Computational complexity
- Experience developing production-grade distributed systems in Agile environments.
- Proven mentoring or technical leadership experience.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Desirable Experience
- Healthcare or pharmaceutical industry experience.
- AI applied to healthcare datasets.
- AWS cloud services including:
- SageMaker
- ECS
- S3
- Serverless technologies
- Snowflake experience.
