Senior Machine Learning Engineer – AI Data Trainer

About the Role
At Alignerr, we collaborate with the world’s leading AI research teams and labs to design, build, and train cutting-edge AI models.
This project is focused on capturing how an LLM reasons and takes actions step-by-step to solve real-world tasks. Annotators write clear, structured traces that illustrate planning, tool use, and decision-making — generating high-quality data to train models for more reliable reasoning in real-world scenarios.

- Compensation: $60–$80/hour
- Commitment: 10–40 hours/week

What You’ll Do
- Lead the authorship of complex, high-fidelity reasoning traces for sophisticated technical tasks
- Mentor and review structured traces to confirm optimal planning and tool-use documentation align with best practices
- Design data strategies that help LLMs navigate intricate real-world decision-making scenarios with improved reliability
Requirements
Essential
- Extensive experience in Machine Learning or related technical fields, with a focus on model reasoning
- Demonstrated ability to break down complex problems into clear, logical, and well-documented steps
- Hands-on experience with advanced LLM evaluation and training methodologies
Preferred
- Prior experience with data annotation, data quality assessment, or evaluation systems
- Top-tier performance in Kaggle competitions (e.g., Grandmaster/Master level), showcasing expertise in model performance optimization and feature engineering
