Senior Machine Learning Expert

Senior Machine Learning Expert (AI Training)

About The Role

What if your deep expertise in machine learning could directly shape how the world's most advanced AI systems reason, plan, and make decisions? We're looking for Senior Machine Learning Experts to do something that matters: write the step-by-step reasoning traces that teach LLMs how to think through complex, real-world problems.

This isn’t prompt engineering or data entry. This is high-level intellectual work—you’ll be capturing the decision-making process of an expert mind and translating it into structured training data that makes AI smarter, more reliable, and more trustworthy at scale.

Fully remote, flexible hours, and meaningful work at the frontier of AI development.

Organization: Alignerr

Type: Hourly Contract Location: Remote Commitment: 10–40 hours/week

What You’ll Do

  • Author complex, high-fidelity reasoning traces that document step-by-step planning, tool use, and decision-making for sophisticated technical tasks
  • Apply senior-level architectural insights to ensure traces reflect how an expert actually thinks—not just what the answer is
  • Design and implement data strategies that help LLMs navigate nuanced, real-world scenarios with greater reliability
  • Review and refine existing traces to ensure optimal structure, clarity, and logical coherence
  • Contribute to the development of training data that shapes how next-generation AI models reason under uncertainty

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
