Senior Machine Learning Expert

Senior Machine Learning Expert (AI Training)

About The Role

What if your deep expertise in machine learning could directly influence how the next generation of AI systems think, plan, and solve problems?

We're looking for Senior Machine Learning Experts to author and lead the development of high-fidelity reasoning traces — the structured, step-by-step records of how an AI model should approach complex real-world tasks.

This is a fully remote, flexible contract role built for experienced ML practitioners who want to work at the frontier of AI development alongside world-leading research teams.

What You'll Do

  • Author complex, high-fidelity reasoning traces that capture how an AI should plan, use tools, and make decisions across sophisticated technical tasks.
  • Break down intricate real-world problems into clear, logical, and well-documented step-by-step workflows.
  • Review and mentor reasoning trace work to ensure optimal planning, tool-use documentation, and decision-making quality.
  • Design data strategies that help LLMs navigate challenging, multi-step scenarios with greater reliability.
  • Apply senior-level architectural insight to ensure the traces you produce translate into measurable improvements in model behavior.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
