Senior Machine Learning Platform Engineer

Senior Machine Learning Platform Engineer

Join us in our mission to transform the way people shop and eat, where impact, innovation, and growth drive everything we do. Our Engineering teams tackle complex technical challenges across a global, three-sided marketplace, building and scaling systems that serve millions of customers, riders, and partners every day.

From real-time logistics to resilient infrastructure and marketplace optimisation, we design, build, and operate technology that powers Deliveroo’s growth at scale.

We’re looking for a Senior Machine Learning Platform Engineer to join our London (hybrid) team.

About the Role

In this role, you’ll help us build a state-of-the-art platform that enables our machine learning engineers and data scientists to train, validate, and deploy models at scale.

Key Responsibilities

As a member of the Machine Learning Platform team, you’ll focus on the tooling and best practices that supercharge ML at Deliveroo and ensure models can iterate quickly and deploy reliably to production. Your day-to-day may include:

  • Design and drive the direction for the centralised machine learning platform that powers all of Deliveroo’s business decisions.
  • Build and scale infrastructure for training and deployment pipelines, model serving, and feature stores, using tools like Metaflow and Kubernetes.
  • Collaborate with product and platform teams to devise standardised tooling capabilities that advance MLOps practices across the entire company.
  • Develop libraries and best practices to make the ML ecosystem more accessible, reliable, and easier to use for internal engineering partners.
  • Automate and document platform operations, turning complex learnings into repeatable actions and self-healing systems.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
