The Opportunity

We are looking for a highly experienced and credible Senior Electrical Consultant to join our growing Asset Management capability. This role is ideal for an individual who combines deep technical expertise with strong consultancy judgement and is motivated by the opportunity to shape client outcomes, influence industry practice, and develop a growing capability.

As a trusted advisor, you will work closely with clients to identify, assess, and mitigate complex machinery and functional safety risks, often operating at a senior level within their organisations. Alongside delivering high-quality consultancy, you will play a central role in developing services, growing client relationships, and expanding our presence in high-risk sectors including Energy, Food and Drink, Mining and Waste & Recycling.

This is a role for someone who wants to go beyond delivery, contributing to thought leadership, capability development, and the strategic direction of the business.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Leadership and Client Advisory

  • You will act as a recognised technical authority, leading and delivering complex consultancy work, including:

    • Machinery safety and risk assessments (ISO 12100, PUWER)
    • UKCA / CE marking and Technical File development
    • Functional safety lifecycle activities (SRS, verification via SISTEMA, validation)
    • Providing clear, pragmatic and defensible advice to clients at senior level
    • Supporting clients in making strategic, risk-informed investment decisions
    • Delivering expert opinion and, where required, supporting expert witness activities
  • You will be expected to translate complex technical challenges into practical, commercially viable solutions, building long-term trusted relationships with clients.

This role would suit someone looking to advance towards supporting Expert Witness activities.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
