Our team is dedicated to maintaining the highest standards of quality and service, and we are looking for a qualified and motivated Procurement Accountant to join our dynamic team.

Job Description

  • You will be responsible and be responsible for the delivery of high-quality outputs and manage and interact with various stakeholders across the business.
  • Working collaboratively with various teams across the business to support the R2R team and drive change to provide more accurate and timely month end closes.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
  • Handle ad-hoc projects and reports as required.
  • Help to develop and change month end accounting processes, ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and completeness of financial information.
  • Challenge and redefine balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring that all balances are supported, highlighting any risks or opportunities and actioning all differences in the control accounts promptly.
  • Responsible for the delivery of high-quality reports, information, and commentary to provide insights to enable the business to make effective strategic and operational decisions.
  • Support the internal and external audit processes.
  • Maintain a detailed knowledge of source data, and the structure and use of financial information from core systems which feeds into the financial statements.
  • Understand the impact of operational changes to procedures and core business systems to ensure correct accounting treatment and up-to-date posting books.
  • Provide support to R2R Manager on ad-hoc reporting and analysis.
  • Help deliver change through support on refining and improving existing processes and then reintegrating the process into an existing team with detailed notes and process maps.

Qualifications

  • Qualified accountant (ACCA / CIMA / ACA).
  • Advanced Excel skills.
  • Knowledge of Cognos-based tools desirable.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to prioritise workload to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to influence behaviours and build rapport at all levels of the business.
  • Experience in a medium/large company.
