We're looking for an experienced Senior Management Accountant to join our Financial Control team to play a key role in ensuring the accuracy, integrity and compliance of our financial reporting.
Reporting to the Finance Manager, you'll support the financial control and reporting activities across our Communications business, helping to deliver accurate, timely and technically sound financial information in a fast-paced environment.
This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong, qualified accountant who enjoys combining robust financial control with business partnering, stakeholder management and continuous improvement.
What You'll Be Doing
- Owning the end-to-end month-end close process for Broadband within the Connectivity part of the Giacom business.
- Owning all payroll accounting and associated monthly reporting.
- Supporting and overseeing month-end close activities across other Connectivity products and overhead functions.
- Preparing and reviewing balance sheet reconciliations and resolving aged or complex items.
- Supporting the review of monthly management accounts, including P&L and balance sheet reporting.
- Preparing quarterly VAT returns and managing associated reconciliations.
- Supporting the Group capex process and ongoing policy improvements.
- Playing a key role in year-end statutory reporting and external audit deliverables.
- Acting as a trusted finance partner, building strong relationships across Finance and the wider business.
- Identifying opportunities to improve processes, strengthen controls and drive automation.
- Supporting and mentoring junior team members where required.
- Maintaining a strong financial control environment and ensuring compliance with Group policies.

Your Experience
- Fully qualified ACA, ACCA or CIMA accountant. This is an essential requirement of the role.
- A minimum of 3 years' post-qualification experience.
- Experience within a multi-entity and/or audited environment.
- Strong technical accounting knowledge under UK GAAP (FRS 102).
- Proven experience preparing statutory accounts and supporting external audits.
- Strong understanding of revenue recognition, balance sheet controls and group reporting.
- Advanced Excel and systems skills with a focus on process improvement.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- High levels of accuracy, organisation and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
