An exciting opportunity has arisen for a high-calibre Senior Management Accountant to join NHS Healthcare Improvement Scotland.


About the Role

As Senior Management Accountant, you will:

  • Provide line management, guidance, and support to the Management Accounting and Finance Officer functions within the organisation.
  • Offer strategic leadership and expert financial advice to senior management.
  • Contribute to internal and external financial reporting, ensuring alignment with organisational goals.

Requirements

Candidates must possess:

✔ A strong financial acumen with demonstrable expertise in public sector/NHS financial management. ✔ Experience providing strategic financial advice to senior leadership teams. ✔ Proven track record in mentoring and guiding accounting/finance teams.
