Senior Management Accountant | Bristol | Hybrid | £50k-£53k + Excellent Benefits
Are you a technically strong, Qualified accountant looking to join a fast-paced, acquisitive business where you can make a genuine impact?
We're exclusively supporting a high-growth, technology-led organisation in their search for a Senior Management Accountant to join their established finance team in Bristol. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious finance professional who enjoys technical accounting, improving processes, and partnering with stakeholders across the business.
Working within Financial Control, you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring accurate financial reporting across multiple legal entities, supporting statutory reporting, audit, and continuous improvement initiatives.
The Opportunity
This is far more than a traditional month-end role. You'll be responsible for delivering technically accurate financial reporting while partnering with operational and finance teams to provide valuable commercial insight.

Key Responsibilities
- Take ownership of key month-end accounting processes and financial close activities
- Prepare and review management accounts, balance sheet reconciliations and supporting schedules
- Ensure the integrity of financial reporting across multiple legal entities
- Support statutory accounts preparation and act as a key contact during the annual external audit
- Prepare VAT returns and maintain associated reconciliations
- Support capital expenditure reporting and accounting policies
- Drive improvements to financial controls, processes and automation
- Mentor junior finance colleagues and share technical expertise
- Partner with stakeholders across finance and the wider business to deliver meaningful financial insight
About You
We're looking for someone who combines strong technical accounting knowledge with excellent communication skills.
You'll ideally have:
- Qualified ACA, ACCA or CIMA status (essential)
- Strong UK GAAP (FRS102) technical accounting knowledge
- Experience preparing statutory accounts and supporting external audits
- Previous experience within a multi-entity or group environment
- Excellent analytical skills and exceptional attention to detail
- A proactive approach to improving systems, controls and processes
- The confidence to build relationships with stakeholders at all levels
