Senior Management Accountant (12-Month FTC)
Remote-first | PE-backed Technology Business
We're partnering with an exciting, high-growth technology business that's backed by private equity and entering its next phase of growth. With operations expanding internationally, investment in new systems, and a strong commercial roadmap ahead, they're looking for a qualified Management Accountant to join the team on a 12-month fixed-term contract to cover maternity leave.
This is a remote first role, however there is a requirement to come to their London office on occasion.
Reporting directly to an experienced CFO, you'll join a small, collaborative finance team where you'll have real ownership, broad exposure and the opportunity to influence how finance supports the wider business.
What you'll be doing
- Producing monthly management accounts and board reporting
- Preparing balance sheet reconciliations and maintaining a strong month-end process
- Delivering insightful variance analysis and financial commentary
- Supporting budgeting, forecasting and cash flow reporting
- Partnering with stakeholders across the business to provide commercial insight
- Supporting the year-end audit and statutory reporting process
- Driving continuous improvements to finance processes and controls
- Getting involved in ad hoc projects as the business continues to scale

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Why this role?
This isn't a large corporate finance role where you'll sit in one lane. You'll become a key member of a close-knit finance team, work directly with an impressive CFO, gain exposure to strategic business initiatives and play an important role in supporting the company's next stage of growth. If you enjoy variety, autonomy and working in a business where finance genuinely influences decision-making, we'd love to hear from you.
