Vertex Associates have partnered with a leading Restaurant group to find a Senior Management Accountant to join their team for a 12M fixed term contract.
This is a hybrid position with 3 days a week in the office.
Key Responsibilities:
- Preparing monthly management accounts
- Preparing cost of sales and analysing margins
- Posting payroll and calculating holiday accrual
- Completing balance sheet reconciliations
- Managing banking responsibilities, including reporting daily balances for cashflow, processing transfers, and liaising with the bank — for example, when setting up new users.
- Posting and reconciling intercompany transactions
- Overseeing accounts payable, including managing the accounts assistant
- Preparing and reconciling quarterly VAT returns
- Managing and maintaining the fixed asset register
- Preparing and submitting Office for National Statistics returns
- Managing the weekly employee expenses process
- Supporting the annual audit

Key Requirements:
- Experience working in a multi-site business, ideally food & beverage or retail
- Part-qualified or newly qualified accountant (ACCA/CIMA)
- Strong technical knowledge and a great eye for detail
- Intermediate Excel skills
- Highly organised, a confident communicator, and a natural team player
- A can-do attitude and a proactive approach to driving efficiencies
- Experience using Sage Intacct is an advantage, though not essential
