Location: JJX Logistics HQ, Kingswinford (DY6) Job Type: Full Time

Due to continued growth and expansion, JJX Logistics is looking for an experienced Senior Manager – Air, Sea & Road Freight to lead the development and growth of our freight forwarding division.
This is more than just a management role—it's a unique opportunity to help establish and shape a department from the ground up. Working alongside our senior leadership team, you'll play a key role in:
- Developing our Air, Sea & Road Freight offering
- Building customer relationships
- Creating operational processes
- Helping drive the future success of this growing part of the business
We're seeking a driven, commercially minded individual with strong Air & Sea Freight experience, a passion for developing new opportunities, and the leadership skills to build and inspire a successful team. Knowledge of customs and road freight would be highly desirable.

The Role
As Senior Manager, you’ll be responsible for leading the development of our Air, Sea & Road Freight division. This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll:

- Help establish operational processes, procedures and best practices as the department continues to grow.
- Build, mentor, and develop a high-performing freight forwarding team.
- Develop strong relationships with new and existing customers, overseas agents and suppliers.
- Support business development by identifying new commercial opportunities and driving growth.
- Oversee day-to-day air, sea, and road freight operations as the department expands.
- Ensure compliance with customs regulations, import/export procedures, and industry legislation.
- Monitor performance and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Work closely with senior management to shape the future of the freight forwarding division.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development and growth of our Air, Sea & Road Freight division.
- Establish operational processes, procedures, and best practices.
- Build, mentor, and develop a high-performing team.
- Develop and maintain customer relationships with local and international partners.
- Identify and pursue new commercial opportunities to grow the division.
- Oversee day-to-day operational management of freight activities.
- Enforce compliance with customs regulations and industry standards.
- Monitor department performance and drive continual improvement.

About You
The ideal Senior Manager – Air, Sea & Road Freight will have:
- Proven experience within Air & Sea Freight forwarding.
- Previous management or senior supervisory experience.
- A commercial mindset, with a track record of developing customer relationships and growing business.
- Strong operational knowledge of international freight forwarding.
- Knowledge of customs regulations and road freight experience (desirable).
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
- A proactive, entrepreneurial approach with the confidence to build and develop a team.
