Senior Manager, Arts and Culture Peer Learning (ARTCF65)

Contract: Fixed term until 31 March 2029 (Arts Council also recognises the benefit of flexible working as a valued part of the way we work, and welcome applications from individuals who require flexibility)

Salary: £50,468 per annum Grade B plus benefits including a final salary pension scheme, generous annual leave, and flexible and hybrid working.

Arts Council England is recruiting to the new post of Senior Manager Arts and Culture Peer Learning. This is an exciting opportunity with responsibility for leading and facilitating both our sector led Place Based Peer Learning steering group and our sector led Creative Ageing steering group. Whilst and interest in and knowledge of the publicly funded cultural sector is desirable; you do not need to be an expert in either of these areas to apply. We are looking for expertise in facilitating and drawing out the learning and needs of others; in translating that to a coherent programme; with the ability to operate at a senior level and managing all of this with political sensitivity. You might be programming material in areas you are less familiar with, but you will be skilled in making connections and working across sectors. It’s fantastically interesting and exciting and the right person will be contributing to real change. Is it YOU?

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
