The Role

The Visa Commercial Solutions (VCS) team is a world-class commercial organization experiencing tremendous growth as we expand into new payment flows and enhance our core solutions.

  • We bring payment solutions and services to clients globally, including Small Businesses, Middle Market Clients, Large Corporates, Multi-Nationals, and Governments.
  • Work closely with Issuers, Merchants, FinTechs, and other ecosystem players.

With the evolution of regulatory frameworks like eIDAS2 and initiatives such as the European Digital Identity (EUDI) Wallet, Visa now plays a broader role in shaping and delivering credentials, authentication, and payment initiation solutions.

Key Purposes

✔ Helping Visa translate emerging developments into strategic direction. ✔ Shaping solution concepts. ✔ Identifying ecosystem engagement priorities.


Responsibilities

Your work will focus on pioneering innovation in the intersection of payments and digital identity. Key responsibilities include:

Strategic Direction & Market Insights

  • Develop Visa Commercial Solutions (VCS) perspectives on:
    • Digital identity
    • Wallets
    • Authentication
    • Payment initiation
  • Shape strategic responses to emerging ecosystem changes.
  • Assess: regulatory, market, and partner trends, translating them into product, client, and ecosystem implications.

Problem-Solving & Use Case Design

  • Define solution concepts and use cases for:
    • Digital identity wallets
    • ERP and ISV platforms
    • Card- and account-based payment flows within Visa’s commercial product landscape.
  • Identify capability gaps and integration opportunities across payment solutions, such as:
    • Authentication
    • Payment initiation
    • Tokenisation
    • Commercial card use cases

Collaboration & Partner Engagement

  • Engage with:
    • Issuers
    • Wallet providers
    • ERP & ISV platforms
    • FinTechs
    • Other ecosystem partners
  • Drive: emerging use cases, requirements, and integration models.
  • Contribute to industry forums, pilots, and working groups supporting Visa’s EUDI and ID payment ecosystem.
  • Represent Visa insights at industry gatherings.

Client Support & Stakeholder Influence

  • Collaborate with:
    • Product and Sales teams
    • Regional teams
    • Cross-functional partners
  • Support client conversations, solution design, and product roadmaps.
  • Conduct requirements-discovery sessions/working models with clients and partners.
  • Develop supporting materials such as:
    • Solution playbooks
    • Positioning briefs
    • Internal exchange documents

Expertise & Thought Leadership

  • Drive alignment and engagement across internal stakeholders.
  • Act as a SME on the convergence of identity, authentication, and payments.
  • Deliver presentations on market trends, strategy, and solution recommendations.

Key Skills & Experience

  • Industry: Product Management, Strategy, or Solution Lead

  • Proven expertise in B2B Payments, Digital Identity, and Authentication (including SCA, PSD2, EMVCo, 3DS flows, and tokenization).

  • Familiarity with Cart-based and account-to-account payment initiation.

  • Ability to bridge:

    • Technical

      developments -map them to business strategy.

  • Partnership experience:

    • External ecosystem players, including issuers, fintechs, ERP/ISV platforms, and tech providers.
  • Technical understanding: APIs, integrations, and delivery models.

Soft Skills & Mindset

  • Clear written/verbal communication: Explain complex topics to both technical and business leaders.
  • Ambiguity navigation: Proactively solve problems, flexible, collaborative.
  • Client-passion: Build solutions driven by measurable business impact.
  • Awareness of e-invoicing ecosystems in B2B workflows.
